RN to Doctor: Being a rn takes a lot of work and sacrifice; it is not uncommon for nurses to want to become doctors. There are many specialities that you may consider. There are many factors in your decision. Does your rn program allow you to take the courses that are required to apply to med school? You have to prepare yourself for the mcats and a postbac in pre-med for med schools.
