A member asked:

I have ana of 1:160 and speckled, what should i do? could it be thyroid related because of family history?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: ANA is a marker for autoimmune disease, but by itself is not diagnostic of a disease. Do you have any symptoms? Lab test results need to be interpreted in the context of medical history, physical examination and other findings.
