Sensitive skin: I have read that some patients with dengue fever are left with very sensitive skin. Moisturizing frequently should help, but check with your doctor.

Very common: Dengue often has 2 sequential rashes. The first rash looks like flushed skin or a measles like appearance. Later comes this wretched itching and often associated peeling skin. Adults and children alike find it very frustrating. It can last a few days, though occasionally longer, especially if one gets scratching at it. If any worry it looks now infected or lasting too long, have him seen.
