A member asked:

How serious is castleman disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Castleman: In unicentric disease, prognosis after surgical removal of the involved node is very good. With multicentric disease there is variation in prognosis: one form can persist for months-years without worsening, another can relapse and remit over years, another is more aggressive (common in HIV affected patients). Evaluation and management with a heme/oncologist is important.
