A member asked:

What does it mean if my ana titer is <1:40 but my rnp is 128?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Caution: There are a huge number of labs in rheumatology, but especially with low-titer ANA and lowish-titer ribonucleoprotein, nobody's going to make the call of mixed connective tissue disease or anything else without a strongly supportive history and physical exam. Whenever arthritis is a consideration, a good trusting relationship with a rheumatologist is your best asset.
