Congestion: Nasal congestion and throat irritation from a cold can affect your ears by congesting the inner ear (eustachian tube). This can feel like your ears need to pop. Its likely your hearing acuity is not altered, but the quality of sound is affected. Be patient, try a decongestant and or some exercise (it works) and if it persists, see an audiologist.
