A member asked:

Why is the doctor wanting me to do a blood test, saying it might show a difference in my allergy levels. is this true and how?

Yes...and No: Blood work for allergies is highly suspect and variable. It can be useful to determine if you are severely food allergic. And we oftentimes will follow the level (numbers) to see if they are going up or down. It can help to tell if you will "outgrow" a food allergy.
