A member asked:

What is the correct dosage for acetaminophen for a 7 month old and 22.8 pound baby? i am giving him1.25 ml every 4 hours and doesn't seems to working

A doctor has provided 1 answer

150mg per dose: The dose for a 22lb (10kg) baby is 150mg of tylenol (acetaminophen) (acetominophen) every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain or fever. If the baby is very fussy and/or the tylenol (acetaminophen) is not helping, the parent can call the doctor for what to do. Sometimes serious illnesses can start with routine cold symptoms in a baby. Sometimes they need to be on antibiotics for an infection, so a doctor's exam is beneficial.
