How do you know if you have active lesions of scabies and you have treated yourself?

Can't really tell: Can't really tell at first, right after treatment, because the scabies lesions will still itch for a few weeks. So, people generally do 2 treatments and just presume the scabies are all dead. Then, if one is not scratching so hard that he is causing skin lesions, any new lesions seen would be suspicious for remaining bugs or new live scabies.
