Spotting: Spotting before a period can happen for many reasons, but not all of them are cause for concern. For some women, spotting is just a natural part of their cycle, others it happens just intermittently and is caused by the type of birth control they're on. It could also happen during ovulation. If this is new spotting for you and continues to happen, please let your physician know!
