R U on birth control: If you are already on birth control pills then the menstrual cycle can be delayed by not taking the last 7 pills and then immediately starting another pack. This should be done under your doctors guidance.

Birth control pills: Any birth control pill can be used to delay your period, but you must be on them at least from the beginning of your cycle, preferably a cycle or two before. If there is less than 3 weeks before your period it is too late to do anything.
