Wrong diagnosis?: Monistat only works for yeast infection and so if you have bacterial vainitis (bv) or something else such as an std (trichomonas, chlamydia etc..), Monistat will not work. There should not be much of a difference between brand vs generic besides the preservatives-active ingredient =same. So, i would suggesting seeing doc for eval/treatment. Good luck.
