Does a bone become stronger 3 months after spinal fusion?

Yes & no: There are different types of fusion. Two or more bones are linked together by bone or bone substitute and ofter metal (plates, rods, screws, hooks, wires). The combination is often quite strong. After 3 months, it is generally stable and strong, parts of the bone (the inner part) may be less dense (less strong), but it does not matter since the whole is strong enough to support what it needs to.

There are a lot of : Changes to a bone as if heals whether it is a fusion or a healing fracture, the process is the same. This is dependent on the age of the patient and their health as well as habits. For an adult, the fusion mass is not as strong as a "normal" bone at 3 months. Bone healing and remodeling goes on for months to over a year.
