Yes: Epigastric hernia is a defect in the linea alba - midline fascia. There is usually herniation of preperitoneal fat. Usually asymptomatic but sometimes can be associated with pain due to incarceration/strangulation of the fat or wall of intestine. Therefore, recommend surgical repair.
