Time & support: Most of the time, your body will take care of this on its own -- as long as you stay hydrated and rest for a couple of days. Antibiotics are not recommended for otherwise healthy people with uncomplicated salmonellosis. We generally use antibiotics only in infants, the elderly, immunocompromised people or those with infection outside the GI tract.

What symptoms?: You have made a presumptive diagnosis, based upon what? I do not know what specifically is meant when you say symptoms of food poisoning. Please go see a doctor and have this worked out professionally.
