MRI is simply using: Radiowaves and magnetism to image your body. It lets us see many things and your doctor would best help you where it is most useful. It is super important for imaging of the brain and spine. It is very important for imaging of the prostate and breast. It is good for almost any kind of imaging if done properly. It does not use ionizing radiation and therefore is safer than using xrays.
