Not advised: Please do not stop your antidepressant and atypical antipsychotic without checking with the prescribing physician. Many conditions that Paxil (paroxetine) and Risperdal are used to treat tend to recur, especially if the medication is stopped too quickly. Abrupt discontuation of Paxil (paroxetine) can result in serotonin discontinuation syndrome which can be quite unpleasant as well.
