Non-union: Although the majority of stress fractures will heal, not all do. If the stress fracture hasn't healed in 20 weeks, the present care isn't working and something else needs to be considered. There are a number of reasons the fracture may not heal and your doctor needs to investigate inorder to determine the next best step.
