Depends on what/wher: If it is afx @ base if 5th metatarsal & transverse they often need surgery. Google jones fx. If a mid tarsal fx 2-4 u have 2 b patient & not bear wt 2 soon. Don't cheat & keep testing it. Follow ur ortho's advice. Stress means stress so stressing it 2 soon is not a good idea.2 hurry up healing is 2 b patient . Follow the doc's plan!

Takes 4-8 weeks: Stress fractures of the foot/ankle usually take 4-8 weeks to heal. Restricting the amount of stress your put on the affected bone will speed up the process.Do so by decrease amount of walking and amount of weight you are putting on your foot daily.Sometmes a bone stimulator can be used if it is not healing in 3months also need to look for an underlying cause, often hormonal.
