Heavy periods : Heavy menstrual perods are very common and there are alot of treatment options. If this happens often or the bleeding continues you will need to see your doctor to discuss menstrual cycle control and regulation. Various birth control methods can help. Lysteda is a hormone free pill to minimize menstrual bleeding. Depending on fertility plans you may be a candidate for an endometrial ablation.

Birth control pills: When you are having difficult menses, it may be a welcome relief to take birth control pills. They lessen the amount of blood loss, keep you regular, and can minimize bloating. Regular exercise can also help with the discomfort. Over the counter medications provide temporary relief as well.
