Blocked arteries: Arteries develop plaque, aka atherosclerosis. On average when plaques are partial, diameter reduction below 50 % of the lumen, medical therapy is most beneficial: antiplatelet, anti hypertensives, lipid lowering therapies, manage diabetes and stop nicotine. If plaque progresses above 70% diameter reduction, then balloons, stents and bypass surgery are a benefit. Each case has nuances. See your doc.
