Not really: I believe that the best way to elevate your metabolic rate would be to perform aerobic exercise at a high rate you might want to consider running(intervals) cycling(spinnning) or swimming at a decent pace the key to exercise is to be consistent and not to do too much too soon and avoid injuries.
