High TPO. TSH 2.36. Has been as high as 3.5 in last 2 years. Full workup, tests, and 10 doctors later, new PCP wants to trial low dose thyroxine for 6 wks to see if fatigue and other sx improve. Am I wrong to be nervous to try since TSH is in range?
Thyroid ultrasound = no concern ; thy. antibody test showed no autoimmune cause. TSH still high, even on synthroid. FT4 high end of normal. Causes???
