Fatigue: Sleep deprivation causes fatigue and lack of concentration. Sleep deprived people over time will develop muscle and joint pain and they are more prone to sickness.

Sleep depriviation: College student needs an average of 9 hrs of sleep in order to wake up refreshed in the morning and to be able to function well during the day and concetrate and pay attention in the class. Sleep depriviation is the main cause of feeling tired, sleepy and being unable to learn. Inability to fall asleep or maintain sleep should be investigated by a sleep doctor so the student get enough sleep.
