Be Safe-See Gyn: Simple things first, a pregnancy test should be negative (vasectomies are not 100%).Then, any abnormal bleeding if persists should be evaluated in any woman >35 years old. An ultrasound to evaluate the endometrium & possibly an endometrial biopsy to evaluate for hyperplasia (pre-cancerous changes) should be considered. Risk factors are age, unopposed estrogen, >ibw, diabetes, pco, & prior history.
