My 2 yr old has had a fever for almost 3 days and has vomited once each day, is this just a virus or should i call the dr?

Viral Most Common: Viral infection are most common cause of fever in this age and can cause multiple symptoms including vomiting. Emesis 1-time/dy is unlikely to lead to dehydration. Encourage low sugar fluids, tylenol/ibuprofen for fever. Fever typically higher late at night/early am and with virus resolves over 3-5 dys. To dr if signs of dehydration, increasing fever after day 4 or new focus of pain/symptoms.
