My 2 year old has the 3rd episode of 101 fever and vomiting in a month and a half. seems fine in between episodes. says belly hurts occasionally. dr keeps saying its a virus but no other kids in daycare sick?

Some basics: Fever & vomiting are classic symptoms of dozens of gut viruses that are common at that age. Kids need not have symptoms to be infected & pass them on.Day care attendance doubles infection rate in early childhood. Three in 6 wks is a bit unusual but not indicative of a worrisome process. It would be seen more in kids new to that day care setting.
