Is it okay to eat maracuya during pregnancy?

Herbs are drugs!: Maracuya is also called passionflower. The fruit and above ground parts of this vine are being used as herbal medicines. It works as pain-, anxiety-, and spasm reliever, besides many others. In general the fruit is felt to be safe for consumption, however no specific data exists for eating the fruit during pregnancy. Eat only small amounts and avoid higher doses, part of "herbs are drugs" caution!

Looks like it: Maracuya is another name for passionfruit. It's a healthy diet choice, very sweet with a high water content, rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Its many varieties are eaten widely in many cultures around the world. Enjoy.
