Yes, definitely: Very high levels of vitamin a such as in supplements of retin a (tretinoin) type medications are associated with birth defects. However, no normal amount carrot consumption could cause any problems. In general, eating lots of vegetables and fruits during pregnancy is a great idea.

Absolutely!: Obviously, if you eat enormous amounts it could be unhealthy, but overall i wish all of my pregnant patients were so interested in fruits and vegetables! good for you and baby!
