A member asked:

Could a gall stone be mistaken for a kidney stone on a ct scan.?

Gallstones: No. These organs are in two separate locations. A ct scan is very precise at determining the location of a stone.

No.: Ct scans precisely define the anatomy of different organs in the abdominal cavity. I can safely state that it would be impossible to confuse a gallstone from a kidney stone on a ct scan.

No: The radiologist knows what the gallbladder and the kidneys look like on a ct scan and that confusion should not be made.
