A member asked:

My mother has both congestive heart failure and pneumonia. what is the best way to treat this critical condition ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Talk to her doctors: Antibiotics for pneumonia. And medications such as diuretics, beta blockers and ace inhibitors or angiotensin receptor blockers based upon heart rate, blood pressure and strength of the heart pump. Hospitalization may be rewuired. Her doctor(s) are the ones in the best position to direct her care. Please discuss with them.
