Veggies: What's not good to eat is too much salt and alcohol. What is good to eat are a good assortment of fruits and vegetables. Easy on the protein; meat, fish, cheese. Exercise too. Watch your weight. Sometimes you can control BP without pills, but don't be proud. Take them if you need them. Hope that's helpful. It's not easy to control your appetites, but it feels good to at least keep trying.
