See below: If your asthma is uncontrolled and you cough a lot, that may give you chest pain. Or, it may be due to a number of other unrelated things such as muscle strain or spasm, pleurisy, blood clots etc. Foramen ovale may contribute to heart failure. Get yourself checked if this does not resolve with a course of otc pain medicines and changing the position in which you sleep.
