The most common form though is related to obesity, elevated triglycerides, and diabetes. It can lead to cirrhosis over time. It is generally an asymptomatic disease.

Losing 10 lbs a month is that too fast for a fatty liver and if so how do I slow it down?

You're doing great!: 1-3 pounds per week is generally a healthy rate of weight loss. Eat right (minimize fats; supplement fibers), exercise, and you should be fine. Roughly for every 3000 calories you lose, you drop a pound (that's 400 calories a day). Shoot for a reasonable weight goal in a reasonable time period--but consult your doctor if weight loss is involuntary or can't be explained.
