Certainly: Eczema is treated by increasing skin moisture with creams such as cerave or cetaphil. Hydrocortisone 1% cream is over-the-counter, and may be used twice a day for a week. If the eczema is not better quickly, a doctor needs to look at the rash. If the rash is better, then the Hydrocortisone can be used once a day for a few days, and then stopped. Rashes do need an exam for an accurate diagnosis.
