A laminectomy : This syndrome is due to compression of the nerve tissue that can be from several causes. Depending on the cause and location of the problem, the surgery will entail a decompression of the nreve tissue usually through a laminectomy but amcan be from an anterior or lateral approach or conbined and may or may not involve a fusion and instrumentation as well.
