Style of running: You may be developing some plantar fasciitis. Changing your style of running may make a difference (midsole or toe strike compared to heel strike) as well as trying out some shoe inserts. Try taking tylenol, (acetaminophen) ibuprofen. No: You are putting excessive pressure on nerves. Often from inadequate foot support. If persistent, see podiatrist.

Shoes, gait?: Hard to say. Could be from shoes not fitting correctly or wearing out, requiring replacement. Also, could be over training or your feet. I would consider seeing a foot dr. (podiatrist).
