Style of running: You may be developing some plantar fasciitis. Changing your style of running may make a difference (midsole or toe strike compared to heel strike) as well as trying out some shoe inserts. Try taking tylenol, (acetaminophen) ibuprofen. If symptoms worsen, you should see your family practice physician.

No: You are putting excessive pressure on nerves. Often from inadequate foot support. If persistent, see podiatrist.

Shoes, gait?: Hard to say. Could be from shoes not fitting correctly or wearing out, requiring replacement. Also, could be over training or your feet. I would consider seeing a foot dr. (podiatrist).
