Mitral: Valve regurgitation is likely not related to stroke risk. Endocarditis if not accurately treated or history of previous strokes puts you at increased risk.

High: The odds are high but can be reduced by taking warfarin or perhaps some of the newer oral Antithrombin drugs (off-label). Valve replacement surgery is an option. Speak to your cardiologist.
