May be normal: You should consult with your doctor who knows about your condition. Further trauma, increase in activity or excessively hanging your leg down may cause increased swelling. Is there increased pain or skin discoloration? Anyway, consult with your doctor.

This is very normal: The bulk of the swelling will take approximately 3 months to go away. If it is increasing, visit back with your doctor to make sure that the area of fracture is completely healed.
