Hard to say but...: What type of lung cancer? 30% of those with non-small cell stage survive at least 5 years, though most have gotten treatment- but not clear if conventional treatment increases survival since they generally don't compare those who are treated with those who are not! but when you say does not want treatment do you mean conventional or any treatment? There are many alternatives. See comment:.

Stage II mostly : Involves hilar nodes, and a lesion 2 cm or less. If that fits, you've llikely had surgery. Lung cancer kills by local recurrence but more distant metastases: brain, liver, bones. These do not all happen at once. Fewer than 50% survive 5 years with treatment, and as symptoms develop, you may change your mind.

Hey friend...: Everybody has days when they think life's not worth living -- but in follow-ups of unsuccessful suicide attempts, 99% of young people are happy, one year later, that they failed. Now, it sounds like you've got better-than-even odds for a cure, and that's no bunk. And suicide-by-cancer hurts a lot toward the end. Depressed? Your doc & friends can help -- someone loves you enough to have asked.

Counseling: I appreciate the importance of natural and holistic approach to one's health. A comprehensive approach to treat cancer is critical. But, i encourage people to learn from apple's steve jobs. He had the money, the access, and all natural therapies possible... In the end, he reportedly regretted choosing "natural" remedies over modern treatment options. Please speak with your physician.
