A member asked:

I've had my spleen removed so naturally i have a weakened immune system. can my hpv get worst?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Your spleen is involved with protection against bacterial infections, especially serious infections of the blood called sepsis. Hpv is a chronic viral infection. The cells needed to fight this infection, lymphocytes, are not depleted by splenectomy.
