Different: Scabies is a parasitic skin infection which can cause intense itching which worsens at night. If you check your skin you can see little burrows made by small blisters and bumps in skin folds. Shingles can cause fairly dramatic pain which is followed within a few days by a rash. It usually appears in a particular location on one side of the body.
