From some people: A person with Herpes Zoster is essentially shedding the chicken pox virus.Anyone who has already had chicken pox or who has been vaccinated against it is not at risk.Anyone who has never had the pox or vaccine could be at risk.If in contact w/ a Zoster (shingles) patient, even if you are immune, use good hand-washing to prevent spread to non-immune bystanders.
