Lymphadenitis: A tender lymph node is an indication of lymphadenitis, which can have many causes. Commonly this happens with strep throat and other infections of the mouth or even scalp. If you also feel weak that suggests a more serious infection. You should seek an evaluation of what is causing your tender gland.
