Many symptoms: Sepsis is a generalized, whole body infection that has some prominent symptoms. These include fever, chills, fatigue and lethargy. Additionally, findings on lab studies include an elevated white blood cell count. The most accurate test is finding the bacteria when blood cultures are performed.
