A member asked:

My mri says, straightening of thoracic kyphosis, what does that mean? schmorl's nodes mult. levels, 6 new bulg. discs scince last mri! why so bad in 4yr

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Who said it's bad!: Straightening of the kyphosis or bend is not significant. Disc bulges are normal findings & seen more as we get older. Schmorl's nodes are weak areas in bone allowing disc material to migrate into & are not necessarily bad findings either. Make sure you have good lifestyle habits : not smoking, exercising regularly and not being overweight. Check your vitamin d level & have adequate calcium.
