Should be okay: If he has no other problems such as hypertension and he's followed by his family physician, there's really no further workup other than occasional surveillance, if that.

No: Peripelvic cysts by definition are benign ( non cancerous). Complications are rare. These are often incidental findings noted on radiology studies.
