Complex Cyst: The cyst has finger like extensions of tissue protruding into the cyst. Such a description indicates the cyst is not simple and as such needs to be followed. Usual course of action is to repeat the ultrasound just after the end of your next period. If it is gone then it was a complex cyclic cyst. If it persists it may need to be evaluated with laparoscopy to r/o neoplasm, endometriosis, etc.
