Yes: This problem can be caused by constipation actually. When the hard stool stops up and stretches the intestines, only loose bowel movements can pass. Your child may not be able to control this since she doesn't really feel like she needs to go to the bathroom until it's too late. Over time, this can become quite frequent. See her doctor for help with this problem.
