Is a doctor allowed to give a pap smear to an 18 yr-old virgin?

Depends on situation: An 18yo can chose to consent to a procedure or not. Most physician groups do not recommend a pelvic exam or pap smear until age 21 or 3 yrs after first sexual activity.Most general exams will be be limited to an external exam.Ultrasound & tests can sometimes evaluate areas that would otherwise be assessed on an internal exam making it unnecessary.Many docs have a separate permit for internal exams.
